World Vision Update - Jan. 30, 2007
As you may know, the St. Luke Youth Group Sponsored a child named German through World Vision. We received a letter from him this past week. Here is the translation of his handwritten words.
Dear sponsor,
I cordially greet you hoping you and your dear ones are fine. My name is German and I am 13 years old. I am in seventh grade. May favorite subject is physical education. My best friend is Nelson. My dad is Raul. I have a pet called Lucki. My neighborhood is a poor place, but it is pretty too. I live with my parents and my siblings, Laura, Luis, Alejandro, and Karol. My favorite food is chicken. I live video games. My favorite sport is soccer. Well, I close for now. I am so happy to write to you. I hope you have a good time.

Harvest of Hope - Nov. 3-5, 2006

Congratulations, Shelly!
Shelly Holder has officially been appointed by the SC Annual Conference to be "Minister of Youth and Programming" for St. Luke. In Pastor Tony's words, "We're so happy for what God's doing in the midst of Shelly's new step in her journey in this ministry she is going to share with us." Congratulations Shelly, and thank you for all you have done for St. Luke's church family, young and old alike!

GRADUATE SUNDAY - May 7, 2006
St. Luke celebrated our high school and college graduates at the 11:00 worship service. Music was by Praz B2 GOD and our Praise Band, and Shelly had a special message for the graduates, "A Psalm for a Season of Commencement"

MYF Ski Trip to Snowshoe, WV
St. Luke's Sr. High MYF celebrated the New Year on the slopes (and in the shops) at Snowshoe. Despite a little rain, the skiing and fellowship was great!
