Money needed for New Well - Jan. 30, 2007
Several years ago some of our members were involved in a project to raise money for a well needed by one of our Missionary families. At that time only a modest amount was requested. This need is for the Jernigan’s clinic in Amakon, Lake Bosomtwi. Only recently we have learned priorities have changed and the Methodist Church that originally planned to raise the substantial funds had to cancel. Thus, St. Luke has been asked to increase our commitment and that any amount will be greatly appreciated.
This obviously is a pressing need involving an additional water source for the inhabitants served by our Missionary family. With personal and private efforts we now have approximately $4,125.00. However, with the priority change we obviously need to solicit from a greater number and give everyone the opportunity to participate in what is certainly very important. The total amount needed is $8,000. We plan to closeout this project around the end of February.
Checks should be made to “THE MISSION SOCIETY” and noted “Project 611-Lake Bosomtwi Clinic” on the bottom of the check. THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN TO ST LUKE for final processing. We sincerely request prayers for this project.
By faith, this is basically a ONE-TIME solicitation and shows that the good people of ST. LUKE not only “care” about those less fortunate but that we also appreciate our Missionaries and the sacrifices they make on a daily basis.
If anyone would like additional information on this Water Project (drilling well, well pump, storage tanks, extensive piping, etc.), then you may contact Winky Black, Gerry Caffee, Lex West or Jack Westmoreland.
To purposely end this VERY IMPORTANT REQUEST on a light-hearted note; is there not a verse somewhere in the Bible that indicates us standing before the Lord and hearing Him say, WELL DONE! WELL DONE!
PLEASE GIVE………….ANY AMOUNT WILL BE MOST APPRECIATED!!
